I’ve been a podcaster on and off since late 2005. Most of my podcasts have been wildly unsuccessful (less than one listener), but some have been wildly successful (at least one listener).
Below are some of my NOW and THEN podcasts.
Don’t Nihongo It Alone is a podcast about the experience of learning Japanese. We hope to provide resources, motivation, and fun to your study of the Japanese language.
Hosts are Jeff Ruberg and Scott Willsey. Don’t Nihongo It Alone is located at Nihongo.audio.
After a four year hiatus (aka, nap) Not Speeding In Reverse is back from the dead!
Peter Nikolaidis and Scot Willsey enjoy laughing at and with anything and everyone, but we also take things seriously so you don’t have to.
Not Speeding In Reverse is a therapy cast like no other! You can find it at NotSpeedingInReverse.com.
This podcast was first started in December of 2010, ended in August of 2014, and now has been resuscitated once again!

Audio Gaijin is a podcast about my family’s life in Japan in the mid 70’s to early 80’s, starring my dad and myself. Being a gaijin in southern Kyushu at that time was a completely different experience.
Audio Gaijin was recorded in 2006 and 2007.
Dismazed was a very short-lived podcast about things and dismayed and amazed Peter Nikolaidis and myself. It’s located at Dismazed.com. We may not be able to handle the truth, but you should be able to handle this podcast.
A podcast of Tomfoolery and Buffoonery.
Haberdashery was a delightful, handcrafted podcast stitched together with loving care by Scott and Ronnie Lutes. Listeners could expect various and sundry topics, ranging from travels and childhood memories to popular tv series and movies to technology, baseball, writing, parenting, and more.
Haberdashery Podcast started recording on January 5th, 2015, and ended on April 28th, 2015.
Speaking of That was intended to be a roughly monthly interview podcast. Sadly, I failed to record more than one episode. However, that single episode was honestly a lot of fun and a great listen. In it, I conversed with OHSU anesthesiologist Norm Cohen. Norm is not only an accomplished and knowledgable medical professional and teacher, he’s also technically fluent, and he’s a genuinely nice human being. Please listen – at least your commitment to this podcast need not be onerous.
The original blurb:
One of the most enjoyable things about podcasting is talking with others and finding out about their expertise, interests, and personalities. This podcast will deliver all of that. Not necessarily a weekly podcast, more like a monthly podcast, which means it will never keep you from getting to everything else in your playlist, even if you listen to it at 1X.
Speaking of That is no longer an active podcast, with one episode recorded in August 2015.
