Soba drink

I don’t drink beer all that often, but I do live in the Portland area, and there are way too many good brewers and beers around here not to occasionally. I also don’t drink soba very often either, but it makes a surprisingly good beer, at least the way Roque Brewery and Morimoto Masaharu san bring it to life in their collaboration beer, Morimoto Soba Ale.

Rogue Brewery, as many of you probably already know, isn’t really a Portland business. Its brewery is located in Newport, OR. You can get Rogue beer all over the state though, as well as in Washington. I don’t like all of their beer – some of it’s pretty gross, in my opinion – but Morimoto Soba Ale is really good. It’s mellow and light, and it’s not going to overpower you with flavor, which is especially good for those of you who don’t drink a lot of beer or who don’t like strong, heavy brews.

I really want to try the Morimoto Imperial Pilsner now, but I haven’t seen it in stores. It’s also $17 per bottle on the Rogue online store(!).
